History

2009

Jim Tibbe Builders was formed out of the recession. Initial customers were able to take advantage of the first-time home buyer credit to build their dream homes. Our first neighborhood was Hunters Meadow in Hudsonville, MI.

2010

A year after JTB got its start, our team was still working out of their homes but already more than doubling home production in the first year. A rebrand was needed in order to reflect the emphasis on residential building so Jim Tibbe Builders became Jim Tibbe Homes.

2013

In 2013, Jim Tibbe Homes moved into our current building, utilizing just one small suite.  Over time we have taken over more and more of the building, adding staff each year.  This year we also reached over 100 homes built!

2017

We built our state-of-the-art design studio and by this point more than tripled our staff to support our growing business. Our founder Jim Tibbe also retired this year.

2019

After Jim's retirement, it was only right to change our name. We are known today as: JTB Homes.
